The human body is 60 per cent water, which means that one should regularly re-hydrate one’s body to maintain the fluid balance and enhance one’s energy levels. Now, many people have this mistaken belief that drinking lots of water is the best way to re-hydrate the body. So they faithfully drink 8 to 12 glasses of water every day. No, it doesn’t work that way. (It’s not a total waste of time though, since you’ll flush plenty of toxins out of your body — but re-hydration is a different ballgame altogether.
To restore the body’s fluid balance, one needs to either eat or drink stuff that is primarily made up of water — like fruits and fruit juices (80 per cent water), for example. And juices are a far better choice since they provide quick (almost immediate) re-hydration and instant energy.
So if you’ve been exercising, or if you’re pooped at the end of a hectic day, replenish your fluid balance and your energy levels with a refreshing glass of fruit juice. Cheers!
